These batteries are significantly lighter in weight than most, which aids in the ease of flight for your model airplane. Although the LiPo batteries require special currents to charge, with the appropriate care they can last a very long time.
Electronic Speed Control (ESC)
The electronic speed control is an important part of your model airplane. Once plugged into the receiver’s throttle channel, connected between the battery pack and motor, the ESC will regulate the speed of your plane’s motor.
In part two of this series, we will discuss the importance of your RC model plane’s motor, receiver and servos.
