We are taking things to the next level by giving a fresh all new ground up design with the RcFactory 39” EPP Edge 540 model.  Those that are familiar with the previous 39” models will appreciate the new hardware and construction including rear tail control push rod assemblies with adjustable end links and new epp bracing for easy assembly. While creating a new ground up air-frame the duel aileron servos have now been re-located which creates a plush/clean look.   The over all flight envelope has increased greatly giving a sense of unreal control authority and increased roll rate was also achieved with the addition of outer counter balance tabs. This model was designed for the pilot wanting to learn the “next step” and also those who choose a balsa 3d model alternative.  * Spinner not included *

    Great Flying Airframe

Posted by Lonnie on Apr 6th 2017

Bought is along with the recommended power package. No shortage in power for sure. With a slow fly 10x4.7 prop it can be flown super slow or pretty zippy.
With control surface deflections set to 1/2 recommended for sport flying and the throttle curved for beginners my 14yr old grandson is flying it on a buddy box with no problem.
With deflection angles set to full and 50% expo it's too wild for my intermediate skills but with angles set to recommended sport flying and 45% expo it's just right for me to fly sport and learn 3D. Control coupling is virtually non existent and with the recommended cog only a slight push on the elev stick is required for inverted flight.
I'm getting 6-1/2 min of flight time with the crack 850mah 3S batteries.
The kit goes together quite easily. It took me about 12hrs. total to assemble and tune.
Overall it's a great investment, no regrets here at all.

    Excellent Plane!!

Posted by Marty Soens on Nov 17th 2016

As to date the most labor intensive plane I've put together(I have over a dozen), and THE most fun flying!!!
Worth the extra build time, it flies dynamite.
So much more easy to knife edge and hover than my others, with very little mixing.
So floaty and easy to keep in the air, just a dream to fly.
Before I got this one I would "practice" knife edge and hover -a lot. After the first couple flights I was knifing all the way down the field, 180, and back up the field.
Fuselage seems more rigid than my other profiles.
I really like it, makes me look good!!

    Seems good.

Very simple and lightweight. Build instructions are lacking and vague in my opinion, could use a bit more detail, but over all a good value and great for learning 3d flying.
