TH 24" EPP Mini Edge 540 Yellow

Great little plane! Went together easy and flies even better. TH have always offered great products and have been using and purchasing from them for awhile.

This is my 4th TH plane, and it's another winner. Easy build (approx. 4 hours), and flies great. With the recommended electronics, mine hovers at 1/2 throttle, and I get about 5.5 minute flights with a Volta 2S 240 mah battery. Even at recommended low rates, control authority is outstanding, and it is capable of knife-edge loops, even without the side force generators, which I generally never install on planes. Since the landing gear doesn't have wheels, I opted to leave the gear off altogether, and just land it on the belly. It handles light wind fine, but really shines when there is no wind. Slow flight is outstanding, and the coupling in flat rudder turns and knife-edge flight is minimal and easily managed. My only problem is that because it is so small, and the color scheme isn't different enough between the top and bottom, it is very easy for me to lose orientation of the plane, so I need to keep it close to me. However, flying in the front yard of my 1/2 acre yard that has tree, keeping it close will be mandatory, and this plane is fully capable of flying in such a small area.

This is a great little plane to keep in your car for an opportune flight, backyard flying, etc. The Edge flys like a big plane and is capable of doing amazing stuff in confined flying spaces. The kit is high quality EPP foam and very easy to assemble. The assembly instructions are detailed and easy to understand. This plane is another example of Twisted Hobby's awesome selection of well designed foamy aircraft.

This is my first 3D micro plane. I overpowered it with a 100 watt motor and used a 2 cell 350 mah battery....thus my AUW went up to 5.1 oz. I also braced the fuse by adding 1/2 mm carbon rods up and down the fuse and tail feathers to keep it from flexing during spins and snap maneuvers. This little plane is awesome!! I flew it in winds up to 6 mph and was blown away by the way it will perform any 3D maneuver. I also put on a landing gear with 1/2 in. wheels. With my overpowered set- up it's fast and rolls and snaps are a blur! Doing a flat spin I could actually gain altitude. The build is simple, but tedious since everything is so small for my old eyes. 5 STARS!

I would highly recommend this plane to anyone looking for a mini 3d plane. I built it with the intention to fly it indoors. The instructions were easy to follow and the materials fit perfect. The staff at TH were so helpful. I already had my electronics, so I just needed a kit. They matched me up with a plane so I could use what I had. The plane flies great and will fly tame like a trainer or max out the throws and perform all the 3D aerobatics. I can't wait to build my next Twisted Hobbies plane.

Built in an evening, great instructions and hardware included. Flying with my DX8 controller. Will purchase others soon!
