Description
Designed and developed by Twisted Hobbys team members Chris Jewett and Cody Wojcik, the Crack Turbo Beaver takes the extreme design philosophy that produced the renowned Crack Yak, Crack Pitts, and Crack Laser and gives the Crack treatment to the famous DeHavilland Turbo Beaver bush plane. Fun Foamy - with big WHEELS!
Thanks for a fantastic fun foamy that is durable, fun to assemble and flies GREAT! My 11 and 16 year old boys and myself love our Twisted Hobbys planes which can be flown mild to wild. Wheels that work on grass bring a whole new level of enjoyment. We love the local park near our house for flying the Beaver, grass and all.

My new favorite plane
Did my maiden flight this evening. Was very impressed. With everything, from customer service (very speedy shipping), great website, great instruction manual, great design, and excellent kit quality. It was a true pleasure to build. And I have well over 20 years experience building planes. Regarding flying - it was a real pleasure. Most definitely a different kind of plane. It does not fly like a balsa model with a true airfoil. It does not fly like a profile 3D plane. Perhaps it flies like a combination of both. It does not like wind. It requires rudder to turn. It requires virtually no rudder at all for knife edge flight. It floats like a feather. Mine came out a 8 oz even, with everything, including battery, installed. I did go heavy on the Welder glue. To make it rugged. Because I plan to fly it real hard, and will likely be hitting things with it. It will take a short learning curve to really get in the groove with it, but I do like it. It hovers easily, lands like a feather, rolls nicely, and loops are extremely tight. This will be my "go to" plane. I like that I can beat the snot out of it, and it will hold up nicely. This is an excellent plane. I like it very much. Hat's off to Twisted for a real winner.

2nd Beaver and counting :-)
What can I say being a Twisted Hobbys fanboy has it rewards. These foamies are just the best. Had a problem with shipment but Twisted took care of me quickly this is another reason i order from them. This is my second beaver since i've given my red one to my cousin. Plan to get floats before the winter for the snow. Suggest getting extra props you are gonna need them as well as Welders glue for repairs. Running 3s destroyed my prop hubs on my last beaver will try the heavy oring this time around, using 450 and 600mah for now. Totally weight of model came to 8.1oz with biggest lipo's.
