Description

From the Twisted mind of Cody Wojcik comes the Veloxity!  Loosely based on the full-scale Velox Revolution 1, the Veloxity delivers an experience never before available in a foam plane.  As one of the stiffest foam air-frames around, precision tracking, a fast roll rate, wild tumbles, knife edge spins, and other maneuvers normally reserved for wood airplanes are all within the Veloxity's repertoire.  With its consistent roll rate and arrow-straight tracking, the Veloxity may be the best rifle roll trainer out there!  Of course, pull back on the throttle and the Veloxity will 3D with the best of them.  A custom airfoil and carefully chosen moments means that smooth harriers upright, inverted, and rolling are stable and predictable, but not sloppy or imprecise...the Veloxity maintains precision through its whole flight envelope.

Backing up the Veloxity's aerodynamic and structural design is a proven power combo.  Armed to the teeth with the 100 gram Twisted Metal Works "Big Bell" motor, 12x6 prop, and 45 amp ESC, the Veloxity has a power level bordering on irresponsible.  The all new CSP D18M servos now offer great speed and centering with unstoppable torque.  The Veloxity is happy flying on 3S batteries as small as 1300, or as large as 2200 for six solid minutes of high energy insanity.

Aspiring pilots need not fear the Veloxity!  With reduced throws and the throttle pulled back a bit, it's an easy airplane to fly and is extremely predictable.  It's a perfect step between 32" flat foamies and your first balsa bird.  The super strong airframe means that less than perfect landings and the occasional dirt nap will not keep you grounded!  Fly Rc Review

    Easy Build

Posted by Kgalen on Mar 7th 2017

By far the easiest foamy I've ever built. The cuts/tabs lined up perfectly making it easy to keep everything flat and straight. It flys very well, the most balsa feeling foamy I've encountered. I used the recommended Ice servos, Omega 103 motor, 12x6 prop and a 2200 3-cell battery. Plenty of power and flies like it's on rails. I'm using it to learn rolling circle loops. It's flyable in my backyard, but better at the field because of the speed and tumbling ability.

Well executed design to build & fly

Posted by molchaser on Feb 8th 2017

Close to perfect I have no substantive complaints on any part of this build and HIGHLY recommend it... but IMHO still room to tweak the package a little Instructions should reflect what comes standard in the box (ie show plywood mount or include as standard the metal mount that is shown. At the price point of kit I would have gladly paid $15 more IF metal is really needed, but am not in the habit of paying for "bling". To me the wood looks plenty stout but am still wondering why the example in the instructions used metal I think a back brace (plywood or CF) from lower portion of mount back through foam keel for a few inches would help keep things together in the event of a hard nose over on landing that will try to push the lower part of the mount back and compress the foam keel which would mess up the thrust line Give all dimensions in consistent units (inches & mm are both used) Bottom line.... This was my second Twisted plane and I will gladly buy more from you guys !!!!

Very well made airplane. Assembly was easy and makes for a very solid build.

    Nice Model ...but..

Posted by Joe on Dec 6th 2016

Let me start off by saying this thing flies great. Hovers easily, harriers, knife edges all with little effort. The roll rate is insane. On this I'd give it 5 stars. My issues are with basically with design and material.

    Spot On

Straight forward build, has great presence in the air, very responsive, and is a good looking plane. My only concern is the landing gear. It seems to twist a bit upon take offs and landings.

    New Favorite Foamy

Posted by Jamie Bradley on Sep 26th 2016

Well, I've been bashing around with the Telink Extra Slick for a couple of years now and it was my favorite, go to plane. It had gotten to be time to replace the airframe but NO, this plane is no longer available. I spoke with Chris Jewett and told him I was a little disappointed that such a great plane had been discontinued. He told me to give this new plane called the "Veloxity, It's WAY better than the Slick". My first thoughts? Bull Squirt, there is no way that a better foamy has been made. Well...... I'm here to tell you he was right and I was wrong. This thing is on rails. I'm having small and I mean very small CG issues, knife edge flight requires a small amount of down elevator. And this is just my second flight, so we'll get there. Way to go Cody and Twisted Hobbys.
