Description

Expect the freshest Beacon Foam Tac glue(s) from Twisted Hobbys due to high turn over.  New redesigned tube and cap!  Great alternative to Welder Adhesive glue and CA glues when building your EPP models.  FOAM-TAC’S improved formula now contains UV blockers so that it can be used in the field in direct sunlight without any yellowing or degrading. We’ve also added a special adhesion promoter to make the glue even stronger and more durable than before.   Hands down, Foam-Tac is the best choice for  building  and repairing all parts of foam planes including motor mounts,  control horns and rods, attaching servos, and tacking down wires.
Key features why Twisted Hobbys uses Beacon Foam tac glues on all EPP models:
  • Foam-Tac never yellows or becomes brittle.
  • Very low odor, no fumes.
  • Dries fast and crystal clear.
  • Never foams or expands or needs a kicker.
  • Remains flexible. Glue joints flex with the foam, preventing separation from hard impacts.
  • Long shelf life –up to 2 years if properly stored away from heat and with white cap replaced.  If white cap is lost, remove applicator cap and put a small piece of aluminum foil over the opening and then replace the applicator. Store at room temperature.
  • No need to store in the fridge or freezer.
  • Works on ALL types of foam including Depron, EPP, EPO, Styrofoam, insulating foam, and even florist’s foam, as well as with balsa wood and carbon fiber.
  • Great for waterproofing.
Includes: (1) 1 oz tube
Note: How much glue per model?   We recommend at least (1) 1 oz for all smaller models, and (2) 1 oz tubes for all 35" and larger models.

Excellent glue for building or repairing foam models

Posted by Kevin on Jul 23rd 2018

This glue works very well. It sets up quickly so you can continue to build without waiting a long time It is very strong and stays flexible and clear. Another very nice feature is it is fairly thick so as to not run everywhere, but not so thick as to take forever to get to the spout when you are nearing the bottom of the bottle.

Great product. Works just like welders but in a much better package I think.

    Works as advertised

I have always been skeptical about any adhesives other than CA for epp foam. This product sets up and holds well. It is stronger than the foam when cured. It is not dangerous or allergy prone like CA.

Awesome glue...a must for your build

Posted by Josh Finley on Oct 1st 2017

I used this on my TH fokker tri plane and it was great. Following the directions this stuff bonds up nice and makes for a very strong glue joint. In my opinion a must to put these epp planes together .

The only glue for all your foam planes

Posted by DMyers on Jul 29th 2017

Simple put: will not yellow, will harden and release, continues to work for years to come while staying flexible and tough. Fast to setup and hold. Built my Crack Big Beaver in 2 evenings and only because I had to get some sleep before work each day.Simply the best. (Forget Welders, use Foam Tac all the time!). Get extra and fix your other non-EPP foam plans when you have that oops moment.

    Just another thumbs up review

Posted by Lonnie on Apr 6th 2017

Sets in 30min, cures in 12hrs, doesn't turn yellow or smell strong, what more can you ask for? I have yet to have my EPP foam break at a glue joint using foam tac.

    Foam Tac

This glue is the best for a couple reasons. You can build your model a little quicker than you probably would with Welder and it will not turn yellow or become brittle over time.

    Foam-TAC

Works great. Perfect for EPP models with great drying time--not too fast and not too slow. Great container making it less messy to work with compared to Welders (that is also a great adhesive).

    Non Yellowing Glue

Began using this glue about 18 months ago. Glue holds well and doesn't yellow over time. Easy to use
