    Hacker Hawk

I received my Hacker Model 54" EPP HAWK Kit and here are my initial thoughts after unboxing:

I've had a few EPP Eagles from Dancing Wings and they fly but the V-Tail setup is a bit vague and the EPP foam (especially on the fuselage) is pretty fragile, usually breaking or tearing even on normal landing impacts. The Hacker Hawk seems to have addressed those issues with thicker EPP foam and a pre-built, reinforced fuselage. The fuselage has a real solid feel to it, I don't think rough landings will be an issue. The Hawk (which looks more like an Eagle to me) also has a v-tail but also gives you the option to use ailerons, which are already cut in the wings. Another nice feature is that the battery is installed through a hatch in the bottom of the fuselage, this way you don’t have to take the wing off to change batteries…YES! Even though the price is double the cost of the EPP Eagle kit from Dancing Wings, the sturdier, better quality materials and smarter features make it worth it, in my opinion.

Can’t wait to build & maiden!
