Description

The all new Extra Slick from Twisted Hobbys was designed for the pilots wanted the most extreme backyard or indoor profile EPP 3D Model Keeping true to the original "Xtra Slick" model we have redesigned and constructed an even more enjoyable Extra-Slick model.   One of the key features with the new Extra Slick is the decreased coupling while increased rudder, elevator & aileron authority are very noticeable over the original design.

With the newest design concepts for EPP construction this bird was made to be built fast and out last the competition.  With pre-hinged constructions along with new carbon fiber trust design makes it one of the fastest EPP models in its class to build yet keeping the tail section rigid for precision flying.   Each kit includes high quality printed EPP air frame, carbon fiber control rods, control horns, adjustable end-links, fiber motor mount and completed revised snap links to eliminate control rod play.

    Feels planted

Posted by Sanka Perera on Mar 26th 2023

This is my 2nd TH plane. My 1st was the crack laser lite. That plane came highly recommended for being "floaty" but capable. This plane i picked because I wanted a more durable one for all my low ground stuff. It definitely feels heavier so I can't fly it in as tiny as a park as I'd like without alot more effort. But it also feels more like a normal plane; planted, smooth and stable. The build is easy and I think the MXS and Slick are the best looking by far. I cheaper out on the servos and used a sunnysky motor. My next build ill go back to TH servos---you can definitely tell on all the snaps that the cheap servos don't have it!

    Worthy of 5 stars and

The manual is online PDF...and sometimes it loses you a little. I wound up following a video someone had made on you tube and was much easier. The plane, parts etc are fantastic. Solid and it flies amazing. Would definitely buy another product from twisted.

    It's like a super clik

Posted by Dave on Apr 29th 2019

I have a clik that flies great indoors but cannot handle much wind. This Slick flies great indoors and in wind up to about 5 mph. It has a lot more power than the clik. The little wheels are fine on pavement outside but I went without the wheel pants that want to snag on everything. Tried both the regular and high power battery and prop options. The high power can go very fast but the plane is just fine and does everything with the regular power setup. The build took about 2 days with some glue drying delays along the way. I found the little tiny parts very hard to handle but finally got through it. Also it's very easy to see in the air.

    32" Extra Slick

This a cool little airplane! The build was easy. The first time I flew this plane felt like I've been flying it for years! It will do anything you ask of it. I can't wait to try it out on a calm day, or indoors somewhere.

    A lot of fun!

Posted by Scott on Aug 4th 2017

Build went together smoothly, the process takes a bit of patience as there are a lot of parts during the build you want to take your time on and allow the glue to setup before moving on to the next step. I used the following electronics found on Hobby King for a lot cheaper than what TH sells their recommended electronics for: - Turnigy 2205/34 1500kv Brushless Motor - 2X Turnigy™ TGY-50090M Analog Servo 20T MG 1.6kg / 0.08sec / 9g - 1X Turnigy D561MG Coreless DS/MG Servo 24T 1.3kg/0.08sec/7.5g - Afro 12A UltraLite Multi-Rotor ESC V3 W/BEC (SimonK Firmware) - GWS Style Slowfly Propeller 9x4.7 Black (CCW) (5pcs) This setup worked perfectly, plenty of power for climb outs and no bad tendencies. Overall I would definitely recommend this plane to anyone looking for a good plane to fly with little fear of crashing as it takes a lot of abuse! I will definitely be buying more TH planes!

    Follow up

Posted by Unknown on Dec 13th 2016

After more flying, I really like this plane. It is very predictable in the air, and handles light winds with ease. It hovers nicely. Knife edge flight is great, even without SFG's. I put 1.25" diameter ultra lightweight wheels on mine, and am glad I did. They are still too small for taking off and landing on grass, but I can taxi much better on grass with them. And it handles much better on pavement with the larger wheels.
