Description

Edge 540: 32-Inch EPP Standard Mono Series

The Edge 540 was developed by Twisted Hobbys and David Kyjovsky, with input from team pilot Chris Jewett, as an approachable and highly capable 3D model for smaller flying areas. Its stable low-speed handling makes it well suited for pilots developing their aerobatic skills, while experienced pilots will appreciate its quick and precise response.

Lightweight EPP construction, pre-hinged control surfaces, and a carbon-fiber truss system create a rigid and durable airframe. The Edge 540 remains controlled during slower flight while providing the control authority needed for hovering, harriers, rolling maneuvers, and aggressive aerobatics.

    Very Nice Model

Posted by Joe on Oct 31st 2016

I own quite a few other foamies but this is my first EPP model. Wish I would've stumbled upon these sooner, I wouldn't own any other kind. Instruction manual was very good with a few differences-omissions from the YAK being depicted. No big deal. Just take your time and read through it before building. A big difference between your typical foamie/BNF build but well worth it. It just flies that good. This thing is just amazing in the air. Floats, very responsive and does whatever you tell it to do. I do and try things with this model that I wouldn't think of at this point with my others. It's very light so doesn't handle the wind very well but it's 100% stress free flying. Crash and bounce beats crash and break any day. My only gripes. Price - these models are a little pricier than other EPP models out there. Quality is good but still a bit expensive. The recommended power setup with a 2s pack nets me 3-4 minutes of flight time and not hard flying at that. 3s pack is a bit better. Already looking at a 43 inch model - they are just that nice.

    Flys like a dream

Posted by Dan Freehold on Aug 30th 2016

Was told to pick the edge over the other options and glad I did. Builds very straight and stiff for a foamie. Hovers even with out stick input :-0 Focusing on rolling circles and loops right now as well as inverted harriers there is 0 need for a flight simulator any more since this is the real thing that bounces instead of brakes. Thank you for this wonderful product Twisted Hobbys
