Description
Product Transition Notice
The BOLT 16A ESC is being phased out as we transition this size of speed controller to our Vertex electronics line. Once the remaining BOLT inventory is sold, this model will no longer be restocked.
For new installations, replacement needs, and future power-system purchases, please use the Vertex 16A ESC with 6V / 3A SBEC.
BOLT 16A Brushless ESC with 6V / 3A SBEC
The BOLT 16A ESC is a compact, forward-only brushless speed controller designed for lightweight indoor, backyard, sport, and 3D aircraft. It provides smooth and dependable motor control while keeping overall size and weight appropriate for smaller electric models.
Its integrated 6V / 3A switching BEC supplies regulated power to the receiver and connected servos without requiring a separate receiver battery. The 6V output is particularly well suited for compatible digital servos that benefit from increased operating voltage.
Key Features

Compatibility and Installation Notes
- Throttle Calibration Required: The transmitter throttle range must be calibrated before the ESC will arm the motor for initial use. Always remove the propeller before beginning the calibration process.
- Confirm that the receiver and all connected servos are rated for operation at 6V.
- Select a motor and propeller combination that remains within the ESC’s 16A continuous-current rating.
- Secure the ESC where it receives adequate airflow and is protected from excessive vibration or mechanical strain.
- Do not completely cover the ESC with foam, adhesive, or other materials that may prevent heat from escaping.
- Always remove the propeller before checking motor direction, throttle calibration, or radio operation.
Important: This is a standard forward-only ESC and does not provide reversible thrust for 4D flight.
