    GREAT AIRPLANE

Posted by BOB on Nov 10th 2023

Model went together very well. Maiden went flawless. All control surfaces are flush and zeroed out. Mounted the battery at the suggested C/G location. Used suggested factory Power Combo. 3s 850 battery. No landing gear. Plenty of Power. Programed Flaperons / Spoilerons in for hands free Harrier flight. Lands at your feet like a Feather. Limited only to the Pilots skill level. Very happy with this Blue EDGE 540.

Wow, what a great plane. Used 2212 1250 kv motor, 30 Amp ESC, 10 x 3.8 APC prop and 850/45/3 battery. Goes straight up like a rocket and rolls like crazy. Looks good in the air too.

    39 Hacker edge

First twistedhobbys model and I'm hooked. Went together better than I thought was concerned since there was no build video but came with printed instructions, also used the electronics from twisted they seem good. Having built many larger gas models over the years it will be a pleasure to fly this easier.

The only limit this could possibly have is the person holing the transmitter! This is my favorite foam airplane!

    Edge 540 V3

Great slow flyer with plenty of power to easily pull out of hover. Hovers easily and does knife edge really good even at slow speed. Set my Transmitter up for Flaperons and with approx 30 deg flaps will fly very slowly.

    3D Champion

I have been flying the Hacker Edge 540 for years. I have all 4 colors. There is no maneuvers this plane will no do. I set mine up with a 2212 1250 kv motor with 10x4.5 quad prop, 20 amp esc and 9 gram servos. The wheel pants are too narrow to clear the wheels, so I add a 3/16" balsa spacer. I use 3 cell 1000mah lipos which get 6 minutes at full 3d. Watch the video which demonstrates all the 3d maneuvers. It is so stable and tail touches and hand catch are easy. Fly's in 10-15 mph winds, it will set in the wind and do a knife edge harrier. I put leds on the bottom and top of one of mine for night flying. I set throws at "all I can get" (just be careful not to overdrive the servos). These max throws give unreal spin rate and blenders are a hoot! I love flying knife edge and make turns in and out of the small trees in the park throwing in a knife edge snap roll now and then. Fun Fun plane. So glad Twisted Hobbys now carries this plane....I used to buy them from Europe factory. A great plane for learning 3d.....crash it...CA/kicker and your're in the air again. Five stars PLUS! Roger, Alabama...ROLLTIDE!!
