Description

Introducing Crack Turbo Beaver!  The Crack Turbo Beaver represents the ultimate in RC fun!  Equally at home in bush style flying and extreme 3D, the Crack Turbo Beaver is also surprisingly precise and offers unparalleled durability.  The huge EPP tires easily roll over gravel, dirt, rocks, tall grass, and other airplanes.  The unique X-shaped fuselage design adds scale looks in the air as well as high stiffness with no need for additional carbon bracing, while the rolled cowl and canopy add to the scale outline and lend tremendous strength to the front of the aircraft.

Designed and developed by Twisted Hobbys team members Chris Jewett and Cody Wojcik, the Crack Turbo Beaver takes the extreme design philosophy that produced the renowned Crack Yak, Crack Pitts, and Crack Laser and gives the Crack treatment to the famous DeHavilland Turbo Beaver bush plane.  We recommend this model for an experienced pilots and for those that want to take their 3D flying level even further.

    Super fun!

This plane absolutely lives up to the hype. It is easy to fly yet capable of some pretty extreme aerobatics. It's also very durable. The jumbo tires add another dimension to the fun factor. The build was enjoyable and just challenging enough to be interesting. My only complaint about the Crack Turbo Beaver is that it is such a blast to fly my other planes are setting around collecting dust. Seriously, this thing is awesome.

    Stable Not Agile

Posted by Sanka Perera on May 31st 2023

Some folks said this doesn't fly well, and I get it. Its like a long wheelbase car--it just wants to track straight, so you need substantial rudder to initiate the turn. I thought I was doing that anyway, but this is a good reminder that alot of turn i was kicking the rudder in after the aileron. Either way, it might be the best looking profile plane because of the "X" shaped fuselage. The stability also helps me do rolling circles low to the floor. Might be the only model that feels better inverted then upright! I put the battery on the nose and go up to 3S 800.

Great scale look that flies better than most.

Posted by 35" turbo beaver on Aug 17th 2019

Got this and used all supplied hardware and recommended power system with a spectrum reciever. Best foamie kit on the market as far a flight envelope and durability. Flies all 3D manuvers and any scale manuvers you want. STOL all day and from a rocket toslow as a snail on a 3s 500mah.I fly in my yard in the middle of a subdivision. Only have 1/4 acre yard.Only thing to change would be higher grade carbon stiffeners for all supplied rods. One thing I did was change out the supplied flat landing gear rods with solid round carbon due to failures on my first Turbo beaver.. No issues with broken landing gear now....

Out of all my airplane this one gets the most stick time. Power and speed are good model is very stiff. Components are better then excepted, now I see why others enjoy and get Twisted hobbies models.

Don't buy the cheap chinese version

Posted by Bob Wright on Aug 27th 2016

I now have two similar looking models , 1 the Chinese copy of this and 2. The original Twisted Hobbys Beaver. Night and day different in quality and over all flight between the two. Yes there is a cost difference and fora reason. The Acrocub knock off is just that. The EPP doesn't even feel like its the same material as what RcFactory / TH uses. Its mushy and junky, hardware was heavy no where near what the Beaver has. After building both the AC is 2 oz heavier and its thinner foam no less lol. You can see the whole tail move, I read you can add bracing or something which i refuse to do since its not for me, others can purchase the junk im done with that. You get what you pay for these days. I'm a TH believer they care about modeling not just selling junk.
