Description

The Vertex VS28 Series is a lightweight brushless outrunner developed for responsive traditional 3D performance and transmitter-controlled reversible 4D flight. Available in 1550KV and 1950KV versions, it delivers smooth power, fast throttle response, and the hardware flexibility needed for standard prop-saver or compatible 4D propeller installations on approximately 6 to 20 oz foam aircraft.

Reversible 4D Operation Requires the Correct ESC
The motor alone does not provide switchable reverse thrust. Reversible 4D operation requires the Vertex V17R 3D/4D ESC, a compatible reversible propeller, and correct transmitter setup.

VS28-05B — Approximately 24 g
Balanced performance for lightweight traditional 3D aircraft and reversible 4D setups using 2S or 3S power.
1950KV Option
VS28-05C — Approximately 23 g
Higher-RPM performance for fast acceleration and rapid directional changes in appropriately matched 3D and 4D setups.
Recommended Starting Setups
Traditional 3D on 2S: 9 × 4.7 Slow Fly propeller
Traditional 3D on 3S: 8 × 4 Slow Fly propeller
Reversible 4D: Begin with a compatible 8-inch 4D propeller on 2S or 3S
1950KV Limitation: A 9-inch 4D propeller is not recommended

    This by far has been the most powerful motor and esc combo I’ve played with! The switching in the 4D modes, and the ease of programming rivals anything else I’ve seen!
