Description

Introducing the all-new 29” EPP F-22 Raptor from RcFactory! Setting new grounds for capable combat is ready for fast-paced aerobatics, fun combat or just spur of the moment flying with minimal investment.  Roll rate is insane and certain maneuvers can't even be emulated by traditional airplanes.  Mid fuselage mounted motor/propeller also with fully EPP design makes the Raptor almost indestructible.  Like all of Twisted Hobbys foamies, the low weight and durable full EPP construction make this airplane perform great while remaining incredibly durable, all without breaking the bank. The F-22 Raptor boasts a wide speed range and quick construction, making it an ideal spec combat plane or just a bunch of no-frills fun for pilots of any skill level.

    F-22 Raptor

Posted by Richard Barringer on Jun 20th 2020

I was looking for something different when I came across this plane. It's a very quick build, took about 3.5 hours. I downloaded the included pdf build file that was a big help. I used Foam Tac for the complete build, gives a vert tight bond and won't yellow over time. The power package that Twisted Hobby recommends for this plane is perfect, plenty of power. I'm using a 800 3S battery which gave me about an 8 minute flight. This thing flies on a rail no matter what configuration you put it in. Just an all around good aircraft. The only changes I made was to add some small carbon fiber rods to the control surfaces to stiffen them up, probably not needed, but seemed to help a little....

    F22 Raptor

This is THE most fun flying jet in the world! Super floaty and slow flying. Inverted high alphas an inch from the ground all day long! When I go to the park to fly, I have to have this plane in the back of my car. It's not a great flying day without at least five flights on this plane!

    First time pruchase.

Best damn Jet that I've built. Flys slow enough I can fly in my front yard.

    F-22 Raptor stock setup

Posted by Don from Finger Lakes Air Pirates on Oct 28th 2019

pro's once again. No bad tenancies with many flights in now. Good vertical with stock. Aileron rolls are stellar. Recovery from underpowered rolls are easy for any skill level. EPP tough to harm. Build is easy with the extra carbon fiber. I used foam tac and med super glue. Low speed low altitude impressive. Sure to be a hit at the shows this year. The only con is the elevator control horn connectors. Little difficult to work with. Clean them up good before attempting

    F-22 flat foamie. EPP foam

Posted by RC Bob on Aug 25th 2019

I have been in the hobby for about 15 years. All of my plans are electric. I used to think that foam airplanes especially flat foamies were a joke. They were only for beginners or lazy people with little skill. For some reason I bought your F 22 to fly up and down the street in front of my house. Just a boredom killer. I souped it up a bit with additional carbon fiber spars and a faster motor and it amazed me. It’s just plain fun to fly- anywhere. My first one wore out after several the dings from several hundred flights so I just got another one. This is a plane I always have with me. Whether I am flying 3m composite gliders or large built up scale models or my pylon racers, I still take the F22 along. This is a plane that changed my mind about foamies

What a BLAST to fly. Friends kept passing my transmitter around for all to fly it. Two of them are placing orders for F22 soon. Keep these great planes coming.

    AWESOME build!

Have not had the chance to maiden it yet. Just completed the build and I have to say it was a joy to build. Everything fit together perfectly and the picture directions worked out well. It was quite the relaxing build.

    Lots of fun

Posted by SacCharlie on Jan 9th 2017

Built this and just maidened it a couple weeks ago. I really like this pkane. Goes slow or fast. If you get into trouble pull both sticks back and it floats to the ground. This is something you can fly in a very small space even at low rates. Four of us fly these together at a school yard and have fun in formation

    Very cool plane

Posted by Unknown on Jan 5th 2017

Update from my previous review. Flew it several times today. What a cool plane. Flies great. Floats like a feather. Mine weighs 8 oz even. In a headwind, at zero throttle, it just floats like a leaf, very slowly coming down. Vertical performance is stellar with the recommended power system. Very, very rugged. I looked down at my Tx timer when I was low, flying in wind, and it smacked the paved runway real hard. I saw something white fly off of it. I thought something broke. It was just my battery. There was zero damage to anything. I do wish this plane had rudders, and I constantly found myself working the rudder stick on my Tx, out of habit. Rudders would be nice for hammerheads, knife edge flight, and for turning better while doing harriers. I am very pleased with this plane. It's a winner.
