Description

Yak-55: 32-Inch EPP Standard Mono Series

The legendary Yak-55 returns as one of the easiest and most durable aircraft in our Standard Mono Series. Its stable, forgiving handling makes it an excellent platform for pilots developing their 3D skills, while still providing the control authority and responsiveness experienced pilots expect.

Lightweight EPP construction, pre-hinged control surfaces, and a carbon-fiber truss system create a rigid and dependable airframe. The Yak-55 remains controlled at slower speeds while delivering precise performance during hovering, harriers, rolling maneuvers, and aggressive aerobatics.

Recommended Matched Power System

View the Yak-55 Matched Power System

Our spec-matched PC02 power system includes the properly selected motor, ESC, three servos, and propeller for dependable power, precise control, and balanced 2S or 3S performance.

Matched Power-System Components

  • Motor: CSP-2305 1500KV brushless motor
  • ESC: BOLT 16A ESC
  • Servos: One CSP-D14M digital metal-gear servo and two CSP-D10M digital metal-gear servos
  • Propeller: 9 x 4.7 slow-fly propeller

Recommended Power Setup

  • Lightweight 2S Setup: 2S 450 to 600 mAh LiPo with the included 9-inch propeller
  • Higher-Power 3S Setup: 3S 450 to 600 mAh LiPo with a compatible 8-inch propeller

The 2S setup provides lighter and slower performance, while 3S provides increased speed and stronger vertical power. We recommend a 8-inch propeller when running 3S setup.

Additional Required Items

Build Resources, Upgrades and Compatible Parts

We recommend Foam-Tac for the main EPP assembly and thin or medium CA glue where specified for carbon-fiber reinforcement and hardware connections.

Insane roll rate and rudder authority. Standard thickness foam is tough enough to absorb crashes but stiff and light enough to retain a nice floaty feel. 2S450 keeps things light and slow. 3S450 gives you way more speed and power. Both are great options.
