Buy this plane if you want a great time and a constant smile on your face !!!
My first 3d plane and all I can say is amazing in every way. This little plane is easy to see with its bright red color scheme. It can be flown extremely slow or very fast depending on your desire of the day. The roll rate is insane with nothing added but aileron & high rates. Indestructable is probably one of the best features. For some reason TWISTED HOBBIES FOAM is superior to any other I have tried or flown. The foam may crack of get distorted but that is an easy fix. Very light equals little damage which equates to more flying time. I have been flying with .95mah nanotech 2 cell batteries which I find give you much more flying time with a bit more punch. Vertical? Yes yes yes.It can hover, dance, go straight verticle & I can even stop in mid air. I am old school. No gyros or stabilizers for me.Just a few thought to sway you to go 3d 540 Edge. You will not be disappointed.
Great beginner plane that can still do all the tricks
I haven’t built mine but I’ve flown several belonging to friends. All I can say is OH MY!!!! Very fun to fly and take a beating. Can’t wait to fly mine!
This is my second edge 540 and I love em wore the first one slap out. Working around the house and can't get to the flying field? This Lil wonder fixes that problem
Good value, excellent flying airplane.
I own quite a few other foamies but this is my first EPP model. Wish I would've stumbled upon these sooner, I wouldn't own any other kind.
Instruction manual was very good with a few differences-omissions from the YAK being depicted. No big deal. Just take your time and read through it before building. A big difference between your typical foamie/BNF build but well worth it. It just flies that good.
This thing is just amazing in the air. Floats, very responsive and does whatever you tell it to do. I do and try things with this model that I wouldn't think of at this point with my others. It's very light so doesn't handle the wind very well but it's 100% stress free flying. Crash and bounce beats crash and break any day.
My only gripes. Price - these models are a little pricier than other EPP models out there. Quality is good but still a bit expensive. The recommended power setup with a 2s pack nets me 3-4 minutes of flight time and not hard flying at that. 3s pack is a bit better.
Already looking at a 43 inch model - they are just that nice.
Was told to pick the edge over the other options and glad I did. Builds very straight and stiff for a foamie. Hovers even with out stick input :-0 Focusing on rolling circles and loops right now as well as inverted harriers there is 0 need for a flight simulator any more since this is the real thing that bounces instead of brakes. Thank you for this wonderful product Twisted Hobbys
